how to add extensions magento 2.4.2

I m new in magento and a project arrived to me to update, i have access for admin dashboard but i dont know how to add extension, i searched a lot they say run command but i dont know where to run the commands, i dont know how to get the root from what i have... i have dashboard and get the server files by filezilla, i can change codes or add files trough filezilla but i need more, specially for running command, please someone tell me how to do it, thanks

In order to run commands, download the putty from https://www.putty.org/

Install it and go to the root directory path using the cd command

i dont have problems with transfering files but after transfer it says run this commands;

php bin/magento setup:upgrade
php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy

i dont know where to write them and run
