Re: how to install theme and module on localhost

doesnt anybody can help me? when i want to download a theme on magentocommerce.com , it gives me an extension key and i dont know how can i use it...

Re: how to install theme and module on localhost

Hello,

With extension key you can install only Magento 1.9 extensions.

Extensions for Magento 2 are located here:

https://marketplace.magento.com/extensions.html

After purchasing a Magento 2 extension you can find and install it in:

Magento admin panel -> System -> Web Setup Wizard -> Component Manager

During installation it will ask your public key.

You can generate your public key in:

magentocommerce.com -> My account -> Connect -> Secure Keys

Re: how to install theme and module on localhost

thank you for reply.it really helped me. so magento 2 has less extensions and themes than magento 1x i guess..

so should i use magento 1x version?

by the way, i checked marketplace and, in the theme section, there is only 3 themes...what that means? has magento 2x version only 3 themes in marketplace ???

Re: how to install theme and module on localhost

Hello,

If you want to start your website today you should use Magento 1.9

If you have time to wait for half a year or a year you can start with Magento 2

Magento 2 marketplace

https://marketplace.magento.com/extensions.html

was opened just a month ago.

Not all modules were submitted and approved yet.

Go to the seller's website and check (or ask) if he has more modules, themes for Magento 2
