1.9.2.4 calculating grand total wrong

Hello crew

Still running 1.9.2.4 which started doing this:

Line price including VAT is correct. However, VAT is sliced off grand total so there's my headache. Had a look at settings and tried fixing it but no solution yet.

If you are using PHP 7 version, please apply the PHP patch for the solution.

admin > system > configuration > Sales > Tax > Orders Invoices > Include Tax In Grand Total?

or you can exclude vat from sub total. Please do proper configuration. 

If you have multiple stores, please validate based on stores.

Using PHP5, can't remember exact version, due to Paypal payments breaking with 7.

This kind of needs to be sorted without going into editing actual files.
