Changing name of sender

Currently when a sales email is sent to the customer who requested information xxx@mycompany.com appears as the sender, however, this person is no longer employed here and I need it to say myname@mycompany.com . However, I can find no evidence of this persons name anywhere on my Magento Admin Dash and cannot seem to troubleshoot this using the methods I've found suggested online.

Hi @sarah_linville

you can change sales email id from your Magento admin panel.

follow below steps :

• logged in to your magento admin panel by correct credentials
• click on system->configuration from the menu
• then on the left side under the configuration general  section you will find store email address section.
• over there you will find sales representative tab
• click on it - add new email address over there - click on save then clear cache and your sales email gets changed !!
