Hello,
My Client's eCommerce Site has changed hands from an existing developer to a new developer. The old developer has put in his name with a link to his company in the footer area of Magento CE, in the middle (where the Magento version used to appear) and we need to change that. This info appears on all pages of the site as well the Admin Panel. Strangely, I cannot find this information in the CMS Static Blocks or elsewhere. Since I am just into the Community version 1.9.01, I need to edit this value to a new one. I have tried various xml files but only tags are there, no values. Can someone be soft on me and help me out?
TIA.

Hello,
This is a part of Magento "hard code". You can edit footer of Admin in:
app/design/adminhtml/default/default/template/page/footer.phtml
You are da man! Thank you. Now it is gone from the Admin Panel, but the sucker's name still appears as a footer in all Website pages!
How do I get rid of them?
It is not found in System > Configuration > design > Footer.
Hello,
What's "the sucker's name"? You can screenshot and show me?
Buddy,
I can describe that to you, as it is not proper to mention a name in a public forum.
It is an individual's name followed by "Powered by" with a hyperlink. It is the very bottom of any page.
How does that help to the topic in question?
Hello,
You try to delete all code lines in footer.phtml template. If it stills showing, please take a screenshot.
Thanks for replying.
The issue now is not in the Admin panel, rather in every page of the website at the footer.
Your earlier suggestion took care of the Admin Login page.
Any suggestions?
Hello,
You can find in these files:
app/design/adminhtml/default/default/template/forgotpassword.phtml
app/design/adminhtml/default/default/template/login.phtml
app/design/adminhtml/default/default/template/resetforgottenpassword.phtml
app/design/adminhtml/default/default/template/oauth/authorize/button.phtml
app/design/adminhtml/default/default/template/oauth/authorize/confirm.phtml
app/design/adminhtml/default/default/template/oauth/authorize/reject.phtml
app/design/adminhtml/default/default/template/oauth/authorize/form/login.phtml
I sincerely thank you for replying to my questions.
I will look into every one of the files you had suggested and revert back.
Much obliged.

I installed UltrFileSearch Lite and did a search for the key and found the same in a few seconds !
The issue is resolved - I thank you for all your suggestions.
The strange thing is Windows Explorer Search missed all the searches.
