Magento FTP access data

Magento FTP access data

Hello,

we have taken over a shop from another hoster, in this regard, we have changed the DNS settings.

The old hoster stored FTP access data but after the move to us they dont work anymore.

Do we have to provide FTP access data to avoid any problems?

Where do we can provide the access data in Magento?

Best regards

You can refer the solution at https://magento.stackexchange.com/questions/127333/how-to-migrate-magento-2-0-x-from-one-server-to-a...

Hope it helps.

Re: Magento FTP access data

Hello @Meetanshi

For what do we have to provide the FTP data?

We'll have to test it afterwards to see if it works.

Best regards

Re: Magento FTP access data

Hello, @christian _stegemann again,

Did you perform the above solution?

Did you perform the below changes:

  1. Change store URL
  2. Change database detail env.php

Did you run the below commands:

bin/magento setup:upgrade
bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy -f or bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy

I don't think it is required to change the FTP Data

If you want to use new hosting server files of Magento you need to change FTP data.

Thanks.

Re: Magento FTP access data

Hello @Meetanshi

thanks for your answer.

Yes we already changed the store URL etc.

We moved the shop to a new hoster.

Question again:

For what do we have to provide the FTP data?????

We'll have to test it afterwards to see if it works.
