New Attribute does not show up on online store

   Yes , the added new attribute shows up in the backend at all the right places .eg products , attribute sets but doesnt show up in the front end.

Every attribute has following option: "Visible on Product View Page on Front-end". Make sure that it's set to "Yes" and after reindexing it should be visible on your product page.

  Thanks a lot for the reply , I've tried that too but does'nt seem to work.  Could it be due to the version of Magento ver. 1.7.0.2 ? and is a trial version ?

Nope, it's been largely unchanged from pretty early versions. The only things I can suggest is that perhaps you're using some kind of custom theme, or you're checking wrong product which belongs to different attribute set.

  Thanks a lot for the reply, may be it is the theme because it was developed by a former employee. We just have three attribute sets and I have added the new attribute to all of them and the new attribute appears in the back end when I try to create a new product.
