SVG Favicon for Magento ver 1.9.2.3

Hello people!

Is it possible to enable SVG file ext. for the Favicon in Magento 1.9.2.3 (config>general>design>html head) ?

I have read it was disable for this version, but was hoping to find a way around it.

That's true that favicon SVG upload was removed in 1.9.2.3 along with Mage_Core_Model_File_Validator_Image introduction.

If somebody is still interested in the favicon SVG upload here's the plugin that would recover the option in Magento 1.9.2.3+ with single Mage_Adminhtml_Model_System_Config_Backend_Image_Favicon rewrite.
