Unable to select State while configguring Tax Rates

Hi

I've selected Country as India and configuring TaxRates.

But after selecting country as India, State field gets disabled and hence I find it impossible to configure different rates for different states.

Also, in near future, GST will be implemented and in hat case there will be two GST Rates for Home state and one GST Rate for out of sate customers.

Please advise me on how to achieve this.....and how to configure tax based on State.

Hi @cmpugay,

You should include India in the list of countries that require "state" in the following admin section: 

System > Configuration > General > States Options

Don't understand how my question got listed in Magento 1.x forum. It was supposed to be in Magento 2.x forum.

Still, I tried your suggestion but In Magento India is already selected.
