I am going to start processing all of my orders in magento via the admin. I plan on using several different order statuses. I noticed that the order status drop down by the comments area only show the order statuses associate with the current order state. Given this i was just going to set all my order statuses to the "new" state so that all the order statuses would be selectable in the comments area.
My question is, what repercussions does this have in other parts of the system? Does order state do anything else in Magento?
