i uploaded Magmi, but how do you install or use it?

I have uploaded Magmi to my server, now what?  

I can't go to any pages within it

it isn't in my magento admin area

how am I supposed to use it

ok, its was the wrong php version, so all the options were hidden, thats why i had basically a blank page
