Problems sharing my website

Trying to host my website on my own server using XAMPP. I have been working on this for two days straight. I have a static IP address, I have it set to port forward to port 80 on my home router. Now when I go to a remote laptop I can log into everything except the Magento site. I get an unable to connect page. I am able to access everything on my PC, just not on my laptop. Can anyone help with this please?

Unfortunately I don't believe anybody will be able to assist without knowing specific details of your overall config or have access to them. 

So what you are saying is you host other websites or applications where they work fine but Magento shows an error of not being able to connect to the page? 

If you can't even connect to Magento's pages, it is most likely not related to Magento but your overall configuration.
