Hello!
After searching through the web for days I decided to post my question here. I "just" want to adjust the price calculation of products with custom options. I know that the default behavior of Magento is that it calcs the percent option, based on the base price, but I want mangento to calc it from the total price. And I would like JavaScript to update the price on the product page as well.
For example:
Product 1 - base price (50€)
Custom option 1 (+5€)
Custom option 2 (+3€)
Custom option 3 (-15%) --> These 15% should be calculated based on the base price including custom option 1 and 2. In this case 8,7€. Currently the default behavior ignores the two options and clacs the 15% discount based on the base price (7,5€).
Can anyone please tell me where to change which things? I'm using Magento 1.9. Thank you very, very much!!
Think what you mean is absolute pricing, the problem is that the old forums with all that information has been removed so you'll have to Google search it.
Hello!
Thank you for your fast reply!! I've searched a lot the last week..... but I hardly can't find the right hint for a solution. The only intresting thing that I've found was this website: http://gielberkers.com/how-to-calculate-prices-for-bundled-products-in-magento/
But this solution only works if you add the product to the cart. I can't figure it out how to refresh the price on the product page using JavaScript. And what I already knew is how to change the displayed price in the drop down field of the custom option: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6225093/replace-price-difference-with-actual-price-in-magento-con...
But I just want to show the total price including the discount and the custom options on the upper right corner of the product page.
Thank you!
This extension has helped me in the past with prices on custom options; http://www.mageworx.com/advanced-product-options-magento-extension.html
You can test the extension here; http://product-options-extensions.magentoext.com/admin
It's a fairly complex extension but maybe it'll help you.
You don't need a paid extension for this, that's just irrational. If you contact us directly @CreativeWestSF we can arrange for an extension to be sent to you which does this via @CommerceKick, don't ask, it's a five level hierarchy of companies. Brand new forums and already sales page, excellent.
This is a bug in magento 1.9.1.1
Custom Option's fixed pricing impacts both the base price and any selected custom options. ( works ok )
(bug with custom options percent pricing, ) The percentage calculation with Custom Options gets based on the base price ignoring the price change of any other selected options. For example if the base is 10 USD and a first custom option is selected for 10 usd , the product total at this time is 20 USD. Now if a second custom option is selected one which increases the price by 10 %, the correct current price should be 22 USD. Instead Magento 1.9.1.1 will only show a total of 21 USD because it is basing the percent option on the base price alone.
I guess there is no paid or free extension for this, You might need to get help from some professional Magento developer. I would suggest you to contact FmeExtensions for getting this done as these guys have experience in developing advance pricing extensions which you can find here - https://www.fmeextensions.com/magento-1/product-pricing.html
Hi,
Customy offers the solution for Magento up to 1.9. You are given an option for "Absolute" pricing as well as the usual "Percent" and "Fixed" for options. You will not see the "+2.00" for options. It works flawlessly and has for me since 2012.

Hope this helps!
