Sorry before i begin as im sure this has been covered but all the options i have found on google seem to either do nothing or throw an error.
I am setting up a new store selling footwear. Each product has two options, a colour and a size. I am looking for the colour to be auto selected when only one option is available. Ive tried editing the configurable.phtml

End result being the customer just selects a size as each product only has 1 colour so pointless having to select it.
