Blank page after account creation submit

After creating an account on my website and hitting submit, a blank page shows up. The customer's data never entered the system.

What can be the cause of this?

Enable the system and exception log from the admin and then try to create an account. After the blank page, please check the file system.log or exception.log file avilable in Magento Root > var > log folder.
That file will show the actual error.
