Code for Configurable Products stock availability set

Hi,

I want to set "stock availability"="out of stock" for configurable products that include associate products with qty=0 or "stock availability"="out of stock". 

I guess best solution is to create a cron job that do this every day? can someone help me with the code that does this?

I found an extension that solved my same problems.

The extension shows the status of configurable products, the configurable products information through a convenient grid table and the automatic calculation of estimated amount of customers' orders and so on.

The status of products in the extension displays "stock availability" by "In stock", but perhaps you can ask its developers and support team for modifying the text there for you (if you want)
