Fail to load node from config

When I was trying to checkout my cart items, this error appears: 

a:5:{i:0;s:32:"Failed to load node  from config";i:1;s:4115:"

The issue was on onepage checkout please help!!

The gender field in eav_attribute table was mistakenly modified to type varchar, input type text and source_model null. After I revert them to the default value, everything function right. Hope this solution would help!
