Fatal error: Class 'Varien_Object' not found in Options.php file

Hi,

I've just gone to our website and I'm getting the following error:

Fatal error: Class 'Varien_Object' not found in /home/********/public_html/app/code/core/Mage/Core/Model/Config/Options.php on line 35

It was working fine a couple of days ago and I've done nothing to the site, so I can'y explain why it has done this.

The error shows on any page url that is typed.

I have a testsite on the same server which loads fine and our emails are also coming through on the address.

In honesty I have no idea what to do so any assistance would be gratefully received!

If you haven't made any changes to the website then clear the Magento cache and Run compilation. May be your error will be fixed. Also take before before doing this if something wents wrong.
