Giving the homepage top priority in the XML sitemap

Hi, when I generate the XML sitemap it lists my homepage but gives it the same priority as my other CMS pages. There's no option to give the homepage a priority of 1.0.

Does anybody know how to do this in Magento 1.4? I presume it will need some adjustments to the files that generate the sitemap.

You should manually edit that and change its priority to one, here is an online tool to edit and export your XML sitemap, once edited please upload and resubmit sitemap in webmaster
