Place order button redirects to cart page on selecting Cash on delivery, but order placed

Hi,

Place order button redirects to cart page on selecting Cash on delivery, instead of showing success or failure page.

When trying to send the invoice copy or send mail to customer, it goes in internal server error and not able to proceed to send mail or invocie copy. but able to complete order without sending invoice copies.

Can any one pls help us....

We are using magento 1.9.1.1 version.....

If there is a 500 server error then there should be somehting about it in the logs. Check both Magento logs (var/logs) and server logs.

They should give you some more info.

Post back here with anything you find.

The Error was due to the PHP Version, The new magento version has been upgraded to PHP 5.5, But my hosting provider version was 5.4, which you could change it in Cpanel..
