Where is the location of the code for the prices?

I am wondering where the code is (assuming an .phtml file) that is incharge of printing the price on the website. I want to add a "you save" section if there is a special price and i figured that the code for that would be easy, i just can not locate the file to change. I realize there is probably an extension out there that can do this, I just would rather not instal another extention on my server. Any info is appriciated.

The file is

/app/code/design/frontend/base/default/template/catalog/product/price.phtml
