1.9.2.4 with PATCH_SUPEE-8788 (v2) Issue

Hello,

We have recently installed Magento 1.9.2.4 which should have all previous patches included. I tried to apply PATCH_SUPEE-8788 (v2)  and I couldn't.

There is instruction to install SUPEE-3941 (if it hasn't). This patch isn't available for 1.9.2.4 in patch download page and technically all previous patches should have been included in the install of 1.9.2.4. I would appreciate recommendations:

Hi @Anonymous, 3941 shouldn't be needed after 1.9.1 as it was included from that point on.

Anyways, it doesn't help that we are still unable to install patch PATCH_SUPEE-8788 (v2)  on  1.9.2.4.

Could you please post the content of the following file in your instance: app/etc/applied.patches.list?

This is a fresh install of 1.9.2.4 and therefore I do not even have the file named applied.patches.list in app/etc folder.

My concern is that the patch is reporting that a reversed or previously applied patch was detected.

I recommend you to use the following script to install SUPEE-8788 (created by Demac Media and recently updated):

Thank You @Gabriel Guarino. The instruction says to Deploy SUPEE-3941 if it hasn’t already been installed before applying magento-8788-patcher.sh. Since the 1.9.2.4 already came with SUPEE-3941, I tried to apply magento-8788-patcher.sh and it gave me error.

Hello Again Everyone,

The url : http://magento.stackexchange.com/questions/140550/security-patch-supee-8788-possible-problems does mention that the error happens because the uploaderSingle.swf is binary.

I have tried a few more things without any success.

*I tried changing the file permission to full 777 on uploaderSingle.swf.

*I also tried to replace the following file from previous 1.9.1.0 version file

* I even tried deleting the uploaderSingle.swf  since the someone mentioned patch is attempting to delete the file and is unable to.

None of above worked for me. I am curious if Magento will come up with another version of this patch.
