Cannot apply patch 5994 to CE v1.8.0.0

Hello,

I applied previous patches 5344, 1533, etc without problems before to my dev environment which is running CE 1.8.0.0. But when I try to apply the latest (May 14th 2015) patch: sh PATCH_SUPEE-5994_CE_1.6.0.0_v1-2015-05-15-04-34-46.sh

I keep getting the following error:

PATCH_SUPEE-5994_CE_1.6.0.0_v1-2015-05-15-04-34-46.sh: 127: not found
PATCH_SUPEE-5994_CE_1.6.0.0_v1-2015-05-15-04-34-46.sh: 127: not found
PATCH_SUPEE-5994_CE_1.6.0.0_v1-2015-05-15-04-34-46.sh: 0: not found
Checking if patch can be applied/reverted successfully...
patch: **** misordered hunks! output would be garbled
ERROR: Patch can't be applied/reverted successfully.

I googled about "magento patch 5994 misordered hunks" and found only one relevant result but no solution. Most mention about patching with "patch" command, but it's not applicable here because I'm using the "sh" command to patch.

Someone also brought up the error may have been caused by changes done to core files.

So I compared the my dev environment with a stock CE v1.8.0.0 and the only core file differences I found that the 5994 patch will edit are the following two files:

app/code/core/Mage/Core/Controller/Varien/Router/Standard.php

downloader/Maged/Model/Connect.php

Which are most likely modified by a previous patch.

I tried backing up these two files up and load in the stock ones but running the sh patching command brings up the same result as above.

What does all this mean and how can I get it resolved so that I can apply this critical patch?

Hi,

Please checkout our Github with files where patch applied and compare with your files. This way you can find difference and see if patch was applied correctly.

Hello I can't patch 5994 to Magento Version 1.9.0.1
