Security Patches + Joomlart SlideShow & ProductSlider

Hello!

This afternoon I installed patches SUPEE-5344, 8788, 7405, 6788, 6482, 6285, 5994 & 1533.  When I went to the front end of my site the Joomlart SlideShow & Product Slider normally on my home page were gone.  Unfortunately I don't know which one broke the sliders though as I foolishly didn't check the front end after each install.  Can anyone give me any insight on how to fix this?  I contacted the extension developer and they directed me to this forum.  Thanks!

Which version of Magento are you using?.

Maybe you'll need to authorize the custom block type on System -> Permissions -> Blocks ?

I just added the permissions and it still doesn't show on my home page.  Maybe I added them wrong?  I'm very new to Magento so I'm not really sure what I"m doing.  I'm relying very heavily on Google
