Admin panel shown a 404 Not Found error after checked for updates and committed changes

Really really need help. After checked updates and committed changes for my Magento, my admin panel shown a 404 NOT FOUND error. When I tried to load my site homepage when I clicked on the website link, it appeared a web page and shown " INDEX of / ". What happens to it? Any solutions for this issue? I am a layman. This is the first time I got this issue. Do not know how to solve it.

Hi shikha1193,

In my Magento root directory, I only found .htaccess file. Do not have
index.php in my Magento root directory. Attach herewith a picture of it.
