Hi,
I have a live Magento 1.9 CE installation running in a folder on Bluehost. There is a wordpress installation on the root. I was notified that the Add to Cart button directed people to the Your Shopping Cart is Empty page. I have gone through the forums and tried the suggestions, including:
- increasing cookie and session lifetimes
- editing the Varien.php file (both as a local file and even the core)
- editing the core config data table to make sure urls are correct and cookie domain and path are correct
- deleting var/cache and var/sessions
- restoring the installation on the hosting to a month ago before the problem began
- review the .htaccess files and php.ini
Earlier this week I was able to edit the database to point the cookie domains to /shop in addition to editing the varien.php files, which temporarily fixed the problem, but I'm at a loss and need some assistance. This is technically a live site, and was developed on the server. It is reverted to a month ago currently but I still cannot get in to the back end or resolve the add to cart problem.
Can anybody suggest a different solution? Happy to pm credentials etc. Thanks for your help.
