Catalog - Categories save: "Please Wait" forever

When I use the admin page to edit Catalog - Categories, When I press "Save Category" button, it shows "Please wait" forever (the content cannot be saved), no matter what browser I use. As the picture below:

I found some of the posts here but it does not solve my problem. I cannot find error message from anywhere in my website. Is there any possible solution to solve this problem? Thank you.

Hi @WBHK,

I guess that the action isn't finishing because there's an error.

Can you check if there are reports on you Magento var/report directory?

Also, take a look to exception.log and system.log files.

What does "Unsupported image format" mean? I did not intend to put any new image when updating.

However, I cannot find "exception.log" or "system.log" file.
