Catalog Rules not applied

Hi,

I am face a big problem with Magento 1.9.2.4:

Products only show up as "new" (with the label "new") , when I manually enter a date in news from date.

But even worse is, that catalog price rules are only applied to a product, when I enter manually a date into the field "special price from date". I have 170000 articles, and a rule that applies 18% to each product, so I cannot click me througghh every article.

Is this a known issue?

This depend on your theme. If Catalog price rule promotion calculation lables are not set by the theme when It won't who on front end.

P.S. By the way, a workaround if you need to set date for all necessary products: you can select goods -> use 'Update attribute' option in back-end and set the "special price from date" for selected items at once.

Hi,

I have 160000 articles, so manually Setting is not an Option.

The Problem occurs since I stocked up from 1700 articles to 160000 articles.

I can apply cart rules manually by executing a php script on the cli, but over night the Prices seem to be lost again.
Can it be, that the reindexing process of magento cannot  handle this large data?
