anyone ever had this issue? I can see the categories in the table catalog_category_entity but the admin shows no categories.
Does the frontend show any errors at all?
Have you ran any SQL manually to 'clear products/categories etc..'
Could you paste the first few records of your catalog_category_entity table in here?
