Importing images

Hi,

We are totally new to Magento.

We have created a spreadsheet with some of our products in and have managed to upload them successfully but the images didn't seem to be included.

We searched and found a possible solution using dataflow profiles. We created another spreadsheet which included the SKU and the path for the image (/watch1.jpg) but when we try to upload this via the profile we get the following message

    Skip import row, is not valid value "" for field "type"

Is this the correct approach for this or can you point us in the right direction to get images uploaded.

Any help would really be appreciated.

Can you update the question with first few lines of your cdv file and also where are you placing your image file to be imported.

We did find the solution here http://www.mootpoint.org/blog/magento-bulk-product-import-images/

It suggests uploading the products in bulk first and then associate the images as another process seperately.
