Issue - can't enter images

We recently upgraded to 1.9.2.4 (ultimo theme) and have just tried to add a new product.

But when we click to add images, the usual box appears - eg base/thumbnail etc - but underneath there is no icon "browse file" so we can't upload an image file.

Anyone experienced this in the past?

issue solved - in that two days later, the browse image box simply appeared again. No idea what was wrong but hoping it doesn't happen again.  I flushed the cache but afterwards there appeared to be nothing different - maybe it took a while.

i may be wrong but i think i had to install flash to make buttons appear
