Hi,
When I go to Magento Connect Manager I get the error : "Access is locked. Please try again in a few minutes."
I've left this for 24hours and still get the same message.
I tried with a different user and this message still appears.
Any ideas how to reset this manually.
Magento V1.9.3
Thanks in advance.
Did you get any respons..? I have exactly the same problem..
Do you guys have following file?
/var/brute-force.ini
Change the following two first lines to
brute-force-bad-attempts-count = 0 brute-force-diff-time-to-attempt = 180
Remove the rest of the lines in the file. You should now be able to log back in.
Having upgraded to 1.9.3.3 16 June 2017 my access has been locked since. We do not have access to our server and have to pay a 3rd party (hosting solution) to do anything at the server/file level.
Surely there should be some Admin feature to enable the unlocking?
I believe I read this problem was removed at 1.9.3.0...but we were already there.
It worked for me, I updated my Magento to 1.9.3.3 and I was locked out, I change
brute-force-bad-attempts-count = 0 brute-force-diff-time-to-attempt = 180
and everything was fine. Thanks
hey, guys, I tried that on the website on it worked but is is not working local server in .ini file it changes back to how many you try to log in any suggestions please
This is a security feature to prevent hacking. Don't delete the last two lines or you will not be able to lock out hackers.
Great. I just fixed this problem by this solution. Thanks you very much.
Besides, some of Magento service provider said it is impossible to fix it.
Tech-phobe here - I am having this same issue but have no idea how to access /var/brute-force.ini. I am the admin for the site - how to get there? I have searched and searched the web but cannot find documentation for how to see this file.
Thanks in advance
