Magento for multiple physical stores

Hi all,

Have searched but not come up with anything. In brief, we are a small organisation with two physical stores. Most of the EPOS / POS systems we have looked at require a single physical 'lead' store. 

I was wondering if there is a Magento solution that lets you have the product from two stores sync to the ecommerce platform?

Maybe the main problem isn't the POS but the distributed stock?
