I just set up my first newsletter - queued it and set a time for it to send. I get a message in status "Not Sent". Don't know why it is not sending. Any help would be appreciated.

You have to set the "Queue Date Start" value to set when the newsletter is going to be sent.

I am having the same issue as described above . I entered a date in the correct place and I don't see the template being sent either. It says "not sent" . Will it send the emails automatically?
The help file on this subject mentions a
4. | In the Subscribers From field, select one or more store views whose customers this newsletter will be sent to. |
I do not see a subscribers from field anywhere in the newsletter menu choices, how will the program know who to send an emails to?
