Order Emails

Hi, We are facing issue with order emails, emails for CASH ON DELIVERY orders arent sent by system automatically, whereas for credit card payments the emails are sent even before the client completes the payment correctly. Is there a way to enable order emails only upon successful payment.

Not sure what would be the difference here. The only different between those two payment methods are probably the order status and whether the money is still due. 

Is it the order confirmation email that gets sent with credit card orders but not COD orders? What payment gateway/extension are you using for debit cards?
