Placing backend order - configurable with no options

I wonder whether anyone could shed some light on an issue we currently have. When placing a manual order (backend) we would expect to select a configurable, followed by a drop down menu with all of the associated simple products, but no options appear in the drop down menu.

The products are associated frontend and work without any issues, the simple products can also be found by searching for the simple product SKU.

Any thoughts?

Hi @mives,

Normally you'll find a link with the label "Configure" when the product has options and you're trying to add the product to an Order inside the backend.

Thanks for your response, this is where I think it is going wrong. Clicking configure brings up the message box, but no options are available. They are associated and it does work frontend.

Edit: we do have a one page checkout using IWD Checkout Suite

Are you using some custom module for configurable products?

Can you check if the Magento's logs have some information about some error (or even the webserver error log).
Also, can you check your browser console when you're trying to set that product in order to find some javascript error too?

Thanks, just checking it appears that we do have an error with the prototype.js
