Please help: I am using the community edition of Magento integrated w/Word Press.

For no apparent reason, the content on three of my pages has disappeared.  I am editing under the CMS menu, pages, content.  Then I go to the preview mode, and the content appears once, and then you click on it a second time and the content is gone from the website.  Under the menu, pages, content, and the content is there.

I had to install a previous back-up to get two of the pages back, and lost 8 hours of work in my shopping cart.  Now I still have one page that the content disappears after one click.  I deleted the page and re-added the page and content, and still the same problem.

I believe it is a issue w/the URL's, which were originally saved as underscores vs. hyphens.  I don't see anything odd in the HTML code, does anyone have any ideas?

What HTML tags are you including in the page content? The WYSIWYG widget only allows some tags so it will strip out tags and content it doesn't support. See this post for more info

Dear Kimberly,

It is under the CMS Menu, Pages (not widgets).  However, when looking at the URL when the page comes up I get this and it doesn't look correct.

http://www.petmopolitanpetfood.com/index.php/ask-the-pet-chef/?___store=default

Under the pages menu, page information, the URL reads:  ask-the-pet-chef

Thank you for your response, and I hope you may have ideas.

Kind regards,

ML

Kimberly,

No page HTML Tags on page or widgets, sorry about earlier reply, wasn't really focusing.

Page is clean, I believe there is a problem with how the URL is coming up when the page is clicked when direct access of the website.  When I click on preview page, the page shows up once.

Thanks for any help,

ML

Re: Please help: I am using the community edition of Magento integrated w/Word Press.

Hi All,

How do I change the URL when I click on the "Ask The Pet Chef" page and the following comes up:

http://www.petmopolitanpetfood.com/index.php/blog/

I do not have a "blog" page on my website.

Website is:  http://www.petmopolitanpetfood.com

When I manually delete /blog/ and re-insert "ask-the-pet-chef" the page returns.

So the mystery can end if someone can tell me how to get rid of the /blog/ - URL?

This is in Magento w/Word Press integrated through a CMS page.

Thanks and have a happy and safe 4th of July!

Mary Lynne

@mlbianchi

It seems Ask The Pet Chef point to the http://www.petmopolitanpetfood.com/index.php/blog/ URL. And i guess you've created CMS pages for that. However you've successfully changed URL from "blog" to "ask-the-pet-chef", and it works as well, do paste this URL directly. http://www.petmopolitanpetfood.com/index.php/ask-the-pet-chef/

To make it work correctly you need to replace href of Ask The Pet Che with "ask-the-pet-chef". I'm not sure but it seems that this is manually added into view file; that's why it stil call /blog/ URL.

P.S - PM me in case need quick help.

I hope it helps you, cheers Smiley Happy

Re: Please help: I am using the community edition of Magento integrated w/Word Press.

Dear all,

Thank you for taking the time to review my issue.

I solved the issue by simply adding a page - Page Title:  Ask the Pet Chef; Page URL:  blog

. . . and wa--la . . .page now appears.

I would be sure that there is a better way, until then, while making sales calls - it's more professional to have a page that actually appears.

Any talented Magento developers, can email me with their Magento integrated w/Word Press experience.

thank you,
