Products from catalogue shows before release

Vers. 1.7
When entering data on at new product in the catalogue, and setting publishing date forward (and store date) the product shows in the frontend and can be bought.
Since the products are e-books, it's not meant that costumers can download the e-books before relaese.
I can inactivate, but then I have to manually activate on release date.

Are you using the Magento enterprise edition or community edition?

Hello @forlagetun356c 

The community edition is not given any feature for auto-enable the product for the front end. you need to do customization for that.
