Reordering products in a carousel (Catalog Products List) - is it possible?

I have created a sub category of 26 products
I've put them in the order I want them to display in Products in Category

I've then added a Catalog Product List to a landing page

Template: Product Grid Template

DIsplay as carousel: Yes

Conditions: If ALL of these conditions are TRUE: Category is [my new category].

All products are pulled through to the carousel, but the ordering doesn't match up with any changes I've made. Is it possible to enforce ordering of products across the carousel?

Please note I'm using VAIMO CMS with Magento 1.2.103

Hi @john_lew 

When you assign product to a category there is an option for position.

Try to give the ordering from there.

I already ordered the products using position, that’s why I don’t understand why the carousel chooses to display the items in a different order. Is this controlled from somewhere else?

No it takes the value from there only.

You can just check by giving different values or also check by giving negative values.

It looks like I've done all the above.

So a CAROUSEL can have a list of products, it's just that list of products can't be ordered how you want them?

I can't be the only user that's ever needed to do this?

I appreciate your help with this. Unfortunately, while I can change these to negative values, when I save my changes, they do not stick. They just revert back to 0, 1, 2 etc.
