This just means that the MySQL username or password is incorrect. Did you change them recently? 

You can see the MySQL password that was set in app/etc/local.xml. 

If you are unsure of this, just change the MySQL password in your server (or hosting control panel), update the local.xml file, clear all caches and it should start working.

I have a similar issue, I have edited the local.xml file in /app/etc, cleared my all my cache, but still this issue persists, can anyone please help resolve this issue ???
