We had a "potential hack" on our host company/server about ten days ago and our only Magento website went "down"... after figuring out that it was only the .com/ page that had the error, but that .com/home and all pages were showing, I tried to fix it and made it worse. I had our host company revert me to an older version of the site, pre-my goof, and now I can't get any of the pages to work. They gave me a stuffed "backup" but I can't even get that to unstuff on my ftp.
We work primarily in CMS Made Simple, and had a past employee set this up for us. They are no longer with us and none of us know Magento. We are close to abandoning this website all together and rebuilding, as we've spent countless hours researching and troubleshooting. I thought I'd throw it out here and see if there is any help available. Let me know if you have any ideas for us!
