Unable to get to Billing Page after done selecting shipping method

My customers and myself are having trouble advancing to the billing page after selecting the shipping method. Once a shipping method is selected (USPS or FedEx), the page acts as if it's momentarily thinking then doesn't advance to the billing page. My IT person is unavailable and I have orders stacking up. Is anyone familiar with this or able to assist?
