Wrong img alt tag in duplicated product

This is what happens when I duplicate a SKU in the backend:

I notice that the duplicated SKU has the IMG alt tag from the original SKU.

It doesn't help when I remove and re-upload the images of the duplicated SKU.

Sounds familiar to anybody?

Any suggestions on how to prevent or repair this?

Solved: save all images in EVERY store view.

Hi,

I've noticed same issue, but saving images in the stores view doesn't solve the problem (Magento 1.9.4.0).

Is there another way to solve the problem?

You have to select the top image of the duplicated product and make this the default.

Don't use the Default Value Box set from the top of the images.
