jquery/prototype conflict

The manage category screen in a 1.9.1 install with theme692 is throwing errors namely catalog_category_productsJsObject in prototype.js. Hence cant add, or view a category. All else in the admin seems ok.

Smells like a conflict but damned if I know how to find it. Any clues on a process to dig it out?
