manage categories

Hello,

First I want to start off by letting you know the store I will be talking about was created in 1.5.1.  Ok on to the problem.  After logging in today I noticed everything was working properly but the Manage Categories.  When I got to Catalog and then click on Manage Categories it comes up all messed up.  Almost like the core file has been messed with.  Things aren’t sitting in its proper div and all over the place.  This is the only one I have found so far that is doing this. Has anyone seen this happen before?  I can give more info if need.  Thanks!

Hi Stokes82,

I notice the homepage source code has some links after closing the html tag.

Make sure that's ok and your site is not hacked.

You should always have the latest version of magento, currently it's on version 1.9.2.1 and several security updated has been released since version 1.5.1

Daniel,

Thank you for the quick reply on this.  I am some what still new when getting into the core files of Magento so I'm a little unsure of some file locations.  Could you be a little more specific on what I need to do and where I need to look?  Sorry for asking this I just want to be sure I don't screw things up even more.  Again thank you for your help and your time.

If you do a view source to find those links after the </html> tag as @Daniel Sousa mentioned, you should be able to search your codebase for them. That will give you an idea as to what files are modified.

 Thank you for your response.  I will look into this.  I think we did all the latest security patches for this all ready.  Heck it could be that something happened when installing the patches.  Also we are going to take the advice and rebuild this site in the new Magento platform.  We all agree that it would just be smarter.  Again thank you both for your time and help.
