Customizing themes

I am very new to magento.

Can anybody suggest what is the best way to start up with this..?

I want customize the design of my website.. but cannot find anything that is helpful.

Welcome to Magento @STAvery15! If you have web design knowledge, you can customize Magento to look however you'd like it to. The designer's guide I mentioned above is the best place to start understanding the way Magento's theming works.

Please do not advice that documentations. Its really really uneasy to understand how magento 2 theming works.

In magento 1.x I worked easily and themed in just 2 days.

but now in magento 2 its 2 weeks and unable to understand how, from where, when components coming/going.  all is just going above my head.

Hi @seetpal, the guide I recommended is for Magento 1.x, not Magento 2.0.
