How to delete and re-install Theme??

Hi there,

soemthing went wrong with my Theme snsOstore, and I can not access the categories anymore. I was wondering if deleting the theme, going back to "Blanck" magento with out any theme, and then re-installing the theme would do the trick? So how do I delete the theme?It is integrated into the admin navigation as well? Any ideas, or suggestions on what best practice would be? Thank you!!!

Hi @hujan,

As I see it you have 2 options:

1. if the theme is installed using Magento Connect Manager, you can choose to uninstall it through the manager again.
2. Otherwise it will be a manual process using FTP and comparing the files/folders of you theme (on your pc/mac) with the ones on the ftp server, and then deleting them one-by-one on the FTP server, this would be the slow way and time-consuming

And you should be able to switch to Default theme prior to the above process, for checking your categories, and see if the work with the Default theme active.

Hi Kent,

I have switched back to Default in System/design on all tabs. Still when trying to access categories get this error?? Will I need to restore everythinig? I will ahve to use ftp todelte theme, this was the way I installed it...
