Multilanguage store page not displayed

Hi all,

I'm new in magento developing, so I'm sure you can help me...

I'm customizing an existing magento (1.8.1) installation with some language issues... 

the website has two store, Italian and English.

I've created a new sub-category referencing a static block, the page is working as expected in English but not in Italian...

http://www.domain.it/en/category_name/ --> all is working as expected

http://www.domain.it/it/category_name/ --> The requested URL /it/category_name/ was not found on this server.

the same issues is also existing in other pages of the store..

Can you please help me to find a solution?

The solutios was in missing .htaccess in the Italian folder...
