linking to another website in the topmenu using parent target

Hi! I have a website in magento which is to be a bolt on to an existing website. I would like the main links at the top of the page in the magento site to link to the other website. However, I have added these links in the topmenu.phtml file fine, and if i use the target _blank, then they work fine. But I want them to open _parent but this gets dynamically changed to think its a magento file so doesn't work. Is there a way around this does anyone know? Thanks

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately that module doesn't help as it doesn't allow me to link to an external website using the parent target. I have actually instead created new pages in my magento store and put an html redirect to the external site, in the content. This seems to work, though I'm sure it isn't the cleanest solution.

I guess if you ant to apply a more elegant solution maybe you can apply some small modification to that module.

I don't know hoe much energy do you want to use here.
