Is it possible to Update Magento 1.8.1 to 1.9.x for example via a GUI interface? I know for extensions and themes you can use the Magento Connect. But I wondered if it was possible to update the Magento software.
Yes, Magento can be updated with a Gooey interface (Magento Connect), often with Gooey results. It's less problematic with smaller things like single modules, but often has weird faults when used to upgrade the complete Magento install.
Thank you for the reply. I have looked at the Magento Connect, but I am not able to see how to do an update of the 1.8.1 to the newest version of Magento. I was able to locate a page that stated how to do the update of the Magento, but it would be easier if their was a way to update it like a Word Press site.
